Brayden Point Can't Stop, Won't Stop Scoring Playoff Overtime Goals. Sends The Bolts To The Conference Semis

Game 1 of the first round. I think we all remember how that one went. The first game of the actual playoffs and it ended up taking like 6 or 7 hours after the game went to 5 overtime periods. This game was flirting with becoming the longest game ever until Brayden Point finally said enough is enough and gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead in the series. A goal that meant so much more than just a 1-0 lead in the series given what these bozos went through last year.

So game 1 went to 5 overtimes, and then game 5 went to overtime today after the Cirelli tied things up in the final 90 seconds of regulation. Lightning vs Columbus. First game of the day. Overtime. I think everybody was getting some PTSD and planning on the rest of the Eastern Conference games getting postponed. But Brayden Point is sick and tired of overtime. Nobody hates overtime more than Brayden Point does. So this beauty goes out there and ends things in the 1st overtime this go around.

Bruuuuuuuuuutal turnover by Columbus there. Just a real kick to the dick of a way to end your season. But let's not kid ourselves here. The Bolts are buzzin and are clearly the better team. Even if Columbus won this game, it was only delaying the inevitable. But good for Columbus. They proved that even with half their team bouncing in free agency, they're still a bunch of pesky bastards with a couple of studs in Seth Jones and Zach Werenski. So Columbus will be annoying forever, and that's all they really had to prove this year. The Lightning, on the other hand, still have to prove that they're not perennial losers. And they're one step closer to that now thanks to Brayden Point despising overtime hockey.
