Wake Up With Nelson Cruz Hitting A Walk Off Grand Slam In The 2011 ALCS
You won't find a bigger Nelson Cruz guy than I am, you simply will not. Loved him for his 1 season in Baltimore and he's been a joy to watch hit homers since. Instead of signing him to a 4 year deal after 2014 like he wanted, the Orioles only offered him 3 years, he went to Seattle and hit 163 homers in 4 seasons in the rainy city. He's now a Twin and is still hitting missiles. 40 years old and already has 3 homers on the season. AT THE PLATE he's about as clutch as you can get. 2011 ALCS vs the Tigers he had himself a day in Game 2. I'll give you a hint of what he did in Game 1, yes, he hit a homer. Game 2 was more of the same. 2 bombs including the walk off Granny to give the Rangers the 2-0 lead in the series. They'd eventually move onto the World Series vs St. Louis where Cruz will literally lose the series for them by terribly misplaying a ball in right field with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. It's okay, you win some you lose some. He's still a joy to watch hit homers, and with the DH universal now, who knows. Maybe he sticks around for 3-4 more years and sneaks up on 500 homers. Even with his whole biogenesis stuff in the past, he seems like a guy who is loved in the baseball world and by his teammates. Love me some Nelly Cruz.
