Nothing To See Here, Just a Donkey Being Arrested In Pakistan For Gambling

Hindu Stan Times

In an unusual and bizarre incident, a donkey was arrested in Pakistan for ‘participating’ in gambling. Journalist Naila Inayat tweeted a video of the animal along with the other accused. In her post, she also shared a link of Samaa TV, a news organization in Pakistan, detailing the entire incident.

Turns out, during a raid in Raheem Yaar Khan, a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan, police arrested eight people along with the donkey. The authorities seized over Rs 1 lakh from the perpetrators.

As the United States becomes more and more invested in the gambling industry, it seems other countries are still decades if not centuries behind the times. In Pakistan it is illegal to gamble in any sort of way, making it one of the worst places to live in the world in my opinion. They don't even have a lottery! Biggest assholes around town for sure.

Turns out a few members of society couldn't resist the rush of laying a few rupees on the line and got caught. Eight human beings were taken into custody for placing a few wagers. Along with them taken to jail was, the assumed ring leader, a donkey. Yes, the Pakistani police handcuffed and jailed a donkey for gambling. Fair is fair. If they were gambling they need to be charged according to the law. No ifs ands or buts. In this case there was an ass (alright I got my donkey pun in).

Bottom line, you can't have a bunch of donkeys running amok and controlling the streets. The police looked that donkey right in the eye and knew he was guilty. Little fella had kingpin written all over him. Say what you want about the Pakistani, but they know their criminals when they see them. That spy pigeon was locked up in the blink of an eye.

Now a donkey will be joining him in animal jail. Will he give up other donkeys in cahoots with the gambling ring? That remains to be seen, but the message is clearly out there: if you're an animal looking to commit crime, Pakistan is not for you.

P.S. How long until we hire the donkey to make picks for us?
