Edward Snowden Sat Down With John Oliver To Talk About Your Dick Pics, If He Misses America, And Why His Story Matters

John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight gets fellated every single week by the Internet and, for once, it’s well-deserved…the guy does a great job getting to the crux of important issues in a way that’s still funny and perfect for the snarky viral clip Internet. But his work with NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden in last night’s episode was particularly good and summed up the whole thing with him: No one really knows what the fuck Snowden did or why it matters. Like (I presume) most of us, I’ve only really followed bits and pieces and was lumped the whole Snowden whistleblower deal in with the Internet’s general whining about privacy issues that generally don’t matter practically. But between this and that Citizenfour documentary, there’s a lot of interesting information out there.
