James Harrison Admitted That Mike Tomlin "Handed Him An Envelope" After Knocking Mohamed Massaquoi Out Of The Game
Damn, the ONE episode of Willie Colon and Steven Cheah's podcast that I miss happens to have groundbreaking news regarding the Browns??
Anyways, I'm glad someone listened to it 7 days later because Cleveland twitter is absolutely buzzing right now. Here's the hit in question:
Single-handedly the most dangerous thing I've ever seen done on a football field. Even if it is the Browns vs. Steelers rivalry, there's no room for cheap shots. Leave it up to the Steelers to play dirty like that.
Anyways, Harrison was fined $75,000 for the hit, and then he dropped this on Going Deep the other day:
"Dude, I’m telling you, 75? And I ain’t gonna lie to you, when that happened, right? the G-est thing Mike Tomlin ever did, he handed me an envelope after that. I ain’t gonna say what, but he handed me an envelope after that."
POLICE! POLICE!
Am I crazy, or did he just admit to Mike Tomlin paying a bounty for knocking a Browns player out of the game? At worst, he's implying that Tomlin covered the fine for him.
What's the statue of limitations on this? Sean Payton was suspended for a year from the Saints, but he was just guilty of not stopping the bounty program. Mike Tomlin was the one paying into it!!!
I demand a full-fledged NFL investigation into this matter. The precedent has been set of what happens when there's a bounty involved on injuring players. Mike Tomlin needs to be suspended for at least two years and perhaps for the rest of his life. And I'd say the same exact thing if it were a Browns player being dirty like this. There's no room for this kind of stuff in the game.
