Parents in India Caught Climbing the Outsides of Exam Centers to Give Their Kids Cheat Sheets

Source – More than 600 students have been expelled from school in India amid widespread cheating — with some having friends scale the walls of exam centers to pass notes through windows, officials said Friday. The students were among more than 1.4 million high school students taking their 10th grade school finals in the eastern state of Bihar. Many of those caught cheating had smuggled textbooks or scraps of paper to be used for cheating, police and education officials said.

Friends, parents and other relatives of the teenagers were seen climbing the sides of some exam centers on Wednesday and Thursday as they tried to reach the windows of the classrooms where the students were taking their exams. They appeared to be trying to pass on cheat sheets with answers written on them.

Bihar’s education minister, P K Shahi, said the scale of the cheating made it impossible for officials alone to contain and that families should help. “There are more than 1.4 million students sitting for exams,” he said. “Three to four people helping a single student would mean that there are a total of six to seven million people helping students cheat. Is it the responsibility of the government alone to manage such a huge number of people and to conduct a 100 percent free and fair examination?”

Look, I’m not even gonna mention the fact that this is the least subtle cheating attempt of all time. Pretty sure doing things covertly is impossible in India. You know why you never see Indian spy movies? Because there’s no room to do spy shit. How are you gonna sneak around when you live next to a billion other people? Physically impossible. So you know what I will mention? How much Indian parents care. Look at those guys scurry up that wall. Looks like Mini-Me trying to bang a runway model. All so their kid doesn’t have to Christmas tree his test. That’s called unconditional love right there.

You know what happened when I got caught cheating in high school by putting answers in my calculator? My dad said, “If you put half as much effort into studying as you did into thinking of ways to cheat, you wouldn’t even have to cheat.” Fuck that noise. How about you take a page out of the playbook from our friends from the east here, pop? Maybe meet me halfway in this cheating scam and show the world you love your kid. I’m just saying that maybe I wouldn’t have gotten a C in my Spanish class that was on the 3rd floor if my dad had been willing to strap on a climbing harness and shimmy up there to help me conjugate verbs in Usted.
