Apparently Shredding Is Illegal In Canada As Toronto Police Investigates This Gnarly Squad For Skateboarding On The Highway

I don't know how the judicial system in Canada works but what I do know is that this is a classic case of entrapment. You can't throw a perfectly paved off-ramp out there and not expect people to want to bomb down it. If you don't want skaters taking over your highways then maybe you should take a play out of the American playbook and just have supremely shitty infrastructure. There's a reason why you don't see skateboarders bombing down I-95 and that's because they'd eat shit every 20 feet. You can hardly drive a car on American highways, let alone trying to shred on a skateboard.

Also I'd like to thank the Lords of 6ixtown here for answering a question that I've been wondering for at least the past 20 years or so. I've always wondered if you could actually use the concrete road barriers as a ramp like you could in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Now the degree to which you can skate them might be a little exaggerated in the game. If you hit the barrier with enough speed in the game with a full special bar, you could easily pull off a 900. So that might not be the case in real life. But you can certainly hit the lip if you wanted to. Again, there might be a difference between Canadian infrastructure and the quality of the highway barriers you'd see here in the States. But after 20 years, I finally have the answer I've been searching for.

P.S. - I really hope Officer Dick relocated to Toronto and he's taking the lead on this investigation.
