"Source" Says Kristin Cav Was Frustrated With Jay Cutler Being "Unmotivated and Lazy"

“She was growing increasingly impatient with him. He was supposed to take this big job at Fox Sports and have a life after football that would get him up off the couch and do something,” the source says. “Instead, he backed out — this is [three] years ago — and joined the [Miami] Dolphins. That didn’t pan out well, and he was left with no TV gig until she got the show for them.”

LEAVE JAY CUTLER ALONE!

I am so tired of the slander and the leaks and the "sources" about Jay and Kristin's divorce. Having said that, if this is true, I would be BULLSHIT if I were Jay. What is the problem? The 122 MILLION DOLLARS of career earnings wasn't enough? Being a loving father and supportive husband wasn't enough? I feel like if you've done your thing as a pro athlete and you want to take some time off to be around your kids rather than running immediately to the broadcast booth that should be allowed. Sometimes you just want to relax for a year or 6. Who cares? Give the guy a break. Stop making him carry a reality show and forcing him to open a stupid butcher shop when he really wants to just chill. And meanwhile here is Jay's official comment:

Nothing. That's our guy. Doesn't air out dirty laundry. Doesn't have leaks or sources or drama. There's a different story every season like Kristin is working on plot lines for season three and Jay is just minding his business.

I think because the Trubisky and Nagy era has been such a disaster, but I have been feeling the need to defend Jay Cutler more than usual. I just have this vision in my head of the Bears making better decisions. A time machine where Pace fires Fox a year earlier, hires one of the boy wonder offensive coordinators of Shanahan or McVay, they fall in love with Jay. The offense clicks, the Bears don't need to draft Trubisky, so they take McCaffrey instead that year, and in 2018 with Cutler, McCaffrey, and the Khalil Mack defense the Bears actually have enough to get by the Eagles and win the Super Bowl. A Jay Cutler in a good offensive system is an upgrade over Trubisky. Maybe that difference was enough. Instead he retires, becomes a reality star, gets a divorce, the Bears stink, and we are still looking for a QB in Chicago.
