Chief's Chicago Bears Full Mock Draft

It is NOW officially draft day for YOUR Chicago Bears. Big day. Lots of holes to fill and a chance to get better and back in the playoffs. Ryan Pace has a fucking NASA command center at his dining room table

As of right now the Bears are picking #43, #50, and then don't pick again until the 5th round thanks to trades. Pick #163 overall. It's slim pickings, but where there is a will there is a way. Here is how the Bears get better via the 2020 NFL Draft

With the 43rd pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, The Chicago Bears Select

The Bears need a TE. They need a guy who can come in and play every down at an important position in the Nagy offense. Burton hasn't worked and was cut. Shaheen is a bum. Jimmy Graham is a thousand years old, can't block and can't even really run. Kmet comes in and makes the Bears better on day 1. He can block. He can line up outside, in the slot, or at the end of the line. Freak athlete who played baseball in the spring so he is going to get better as he continues to get football reps and real football offseason training. Take him and don't look back.

We Have A Trade:

Bears Trade: Picks #50, #196, and 2021 4th round pick

Baltimore Trades: Picks #60 and #92

Baltimore has a ton of draft capital. Two picks in the 2nd. Two picks in the 3rd. They used that draft capital to move up and their guy, linebacker out of Wisconsin, Zach Baun. Bears slide back to the end of round 2 and pick up an addition and much needed 3rd round pick.

With The 60th Overall Selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, The Chicago Bears select:

Chase Claypool is a physical freak. Showed up BIG time at the combine with a 4.42 40 yard dash to go with a 6'4 230lbs frame and a 40 inch vertical. That is what I call "catch radius". Something that is pretty important when your quarterback isn't exactly known for accuracy. Make things easy on the QB. Add Claypool and Kmet to Allen Robinson and the Bears can jump ball their way down the field. The Bears have a lot of needs, but WR is one of them. They've been linked to Penn State WR KJ Hamler, but Claypool is the pick at the end of round 2.

With the 92nd overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select…

Troy Pride Jr. An absolute burner. 4.4 at the combine. Great closing speed with good ball skills. A guy who has played both field side and boundary and can probably play slot well at the next level because he has good change of direction skills. He needs to get a little stronger, but if he was already stronger he would likely be off the board. The Bears lost a bit at corner this offseason, Pride comes in and fills a need.

With the 163rd selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, The Chicago Bears select…

Alohi Gilman. The Bears could use some insurance at safety. Clinton-Dix is gone. The Bears need a guy who can come in and play more of a strong safety role that allows Eddie Jackson to go back to playing free. Gilman, the human missile, can be that guy. Always around the ball. Looks to take it away. Sure tackler(had 94 tackles in 2018). Solid speed with a BIG brain. Natural leader who transfered to Notre Dame from the Naval Academy and started just about every game. He will absolutely be a factor on special teams if he doesn't develop into a full-time starter at strong safety. No true weaknesses to his game.

And that's it. No point in speculating on 6th and 7th round lottery tickets. Maybe they add a lineman or a…kicker. I don't know. What I do know is if the Bears come out of the draft with Kmet, a WR, a safety and a corner I will be VERY happy.
