Rats Are Taking Over Bourbon Street Because Of Coronavirus

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody that's been on this lovely street because even on a night where it's jammed packed you can always see a couple long tails scurrying around. I hate rats, but I do gotta say that it's almost part of the experience when you're down there. There's no pretentious bullshit about the cleanliness of things, but rather just many herds of people who are gleeful to get absolutely shitfaced on a street where you could literally stumble from bar to bar.

This story reminded me of how the canals cleared in Italy with people isolating:

When it's all said and done it's actually going to be pretty fascinating to see a list of things that changed because of no human day-to-day use. People vanishing will give NOLA a chance to take care of their rats and I can only hope Chicago is doing the same in some of our disgusting alleys.
