Father-Son Dispute Leaves Florida House Drenched In Rainbow Paint

This is one of those things that pops up on my timeline but turns out to be old. Fortunately that's never stopped me.

From Naples Daily News (on Jan 28th, collar pull):

A rainbow-colored house in the small gated community of Il Regalo in North Naples is anything but pretty.

Neither is the story behind it.

Court documents show it's part of an ugly fight between a father and a son, who bought the property together a few years ago: Jeffrey Liebman and his father Dennis Liebman.

The half-a-million-dollar, single-family home — at 6913 Il Regalo Circle, off Orange Blossom Drive — looks like a do-it-yourself disaster, with more colors on it than there are in a bag of Skittles. It's dripping with splashes and splotches of blue, orange, yellow, green, red, purple and pink paint that even cover some of the windows, so you can't see inside.

The perp also made sure to paint the grass, trees, the mailbox, the driveway... pretty much anything on the property. And adding to the weirdness of it all?

The van had "Who is Omar?" sprayed in white on its side, leaving his neighbors scratching their heads.

That clue leads me to believe the two were watching The Wire as a bonding activity when Dennis secretly went a few episodes ahead in Season 5 without letting Jeffrey know. They're at dinner one night when Dennis spills the beans about what happens to Omar… He's certainly not comin' anymore, folks. The whole reason they needed a bonding activity in the first place was Jeffrey's trust issues after Dennis cheated on his mom with a woman Jeffrey's age that Dennis met at the marina last year.

Dennis tries to backtrack but Jeffrey clearly knows his father watched ahead behind his back, and now the lies make it even more insulting. They're back to square one but Dennis won't even apologize. He says Jeffrey is being stubborn & brings up his adult bedwetting in front of the young woman he left Jeffrey's mother for who Jeffrey reluctantly has grown a crush on. You guys know how it is.

Anyways, that's my educated guess. Am sure the neighbors just love them both & hope they reconcile even if they never fix the house.
