Despite Her Insistence, Somehow The Cops Were Able To Sniff Out This Car Thief Was In Fact *Not* Beyonce

LVRJ - New Mexico woman is facing charges after police say she stole a car and later tried to claim she was pop singer Beyoncé Knowles.

Surena Henry was arrested Saturday morning in Las Cruces, New Mexico, when an officer spotted a vehicle that resembled one that recently had been reported stolen, the Las Cruces Sun-News reports.

Documents say Henry told the officer she was Beyoncé.

She also allegedly told police that she didn’t stop driving when she saw the emergency lights because she didn’t feel like it.

I know this might sound ridiculous but I believe her. You cannot look at that picture and tell me with 100% certainty that that's not Beyonce. Because riddle me this- if it wasn't Beyonce, why would she have told the cops she was? Checkmate.

Let's just say hypothetically though that she isn't Beyonce, I respect her telling the cops that she is. I love how nonchalant she is. "Oh don't worry about it officers, this car couldn't possibly be stolen, for I am Grammy award winner and international superstar Beyonce Knowles". I'm imagining the cops in Superbad when McLovin hands them his ID. "Organ donor!". 

So all in all, it's not the absolute worst plan of action to get out of a charge I've ever seen. Unfortunately those cops woke up a little early, had their morning coffee, and were able to sniff out that she was in fact not Beyonce. And that's why we respect our men and women in blue. Would you have been able to sniff it out?
