Nate Diaz Takes Aim At Conor McGregor On Twitter, Mocking His "Season"

Well, well, well - look what the cat dragged in! Ol' Nathan Diaz, back for more, huh?

If you remember correctly, in the build to Conor McGregor's return fight against Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone earlier this year, he proclaimed that he was treating 2020 as a mixed martial arts "season" for himself. In this season, his goal was to have three fights, win three fights, and by 2021, be UFC World Champion once again.

Since his win over Cerrone, McGregor has been more or less quiet on the fight front - likely waiting to see what happens in next month's loooooong awaited showdown between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson - but Nate is seemingly getting a little impatient with his former foe! Could he want to finally close out the trilogy with McGregor?!

I know a lot of fans want to see Conor fight Justin Gaethje, and trust me, I wanna see that too! It'd be a hell of a fight and an even better opportunity to shut up the dopes who don't think Conor would smack him in a single round...but I'd be lying if I said I would be more interested in that than another Nate Diaz fight, especially from a content point-of-view.

I'd be lying if I said Justin Gaethje "deserved" a shot with McGregor more than Nate - considering he was asked if he wanted a shot at McGregor after he KO'd Cowboy and he said absolutely not, that he'd wait out Khabib…

...but we'll see what happens. I'd be stoked with either of those fights coming to fruition this year.

Let's go Nathan! Let's go brotha!
