Massachusetts Man Shows The World That Chivalry Is NOT Dead By Taking A Girl BANK ROBBING On First Date

(CNN) - And you thought your worst first date story was bad.

A Massachusetts woman became an unexpected getaway driver after a man she met on a dating app robbed a bank on their first date.

Christopher Castillo, the unnamed woman's would-be Robin Hood, plead guilty this week to armed robbery and three counts of assault and battery on a police officer — all committed on their first date on December 5, 2016 — according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.

Who said chivalry is dead?

"No one has said that since at least 2017 Ethan"

Besides the point. Anyways, I know most people find t first dates to be hard. A lot of people struggle with where they should go, should it be casual? Should it be fancy? Well, I think we might just have our answer boys. Just a super casual armed robbery. Nothing too extreme.

Modern bank robbers - or any thief for that matter - always puzzle me. Unless you are fucking Danny Ocean, there's no way you're getting away with it so why do it? You have to be extremely talented to be able to pull off a successful robbery and even if you're awesome at that kind of stuff, chances are it's on camera. I don't know, robbery always seemed like... a bit much to me.

I will admit, the adrenaline rush robbing a bank gives you is probably very intoxicating. Robbing anything for that matter. Once, you rob one, you can't stop. I would just chase that high over and over until they eventually slap the cuffs on me and lock me away forever. That is, of course, if the police were able to catch me (spoiler: they wouldn't be).

This whole thing is simply bananas. Bank robbery? On the first date? That seems like something to do on like the 4th or 5th date. Certainly not the first. I wonder who's idea this whole thing was anyways. Was it his idea? Was it her idea? Let's look at how it went down.

It all started, the woman told police, when she picked up Castillo from his parents' home in Chepachet, Rhode Island, and drove him 30 minutes east toward North Attleboro, Massachusetts. She said he drank wine in the passenger seat of her Nissan Maxima (which is also illegal, but he wasn't charged for that one).

The two had never met in person before that fateful day in 2016, she told police. So why would she think anything was wrong when he told her to pull over as they approached a bank?

Totally natural to let someone you just met slug wine in your passenger seat. That's already a bad sign. I would've told him to get out of my car if I were her, that won't be happening on my watch. My biggest question is where were they going? Was the bank the end goal or did it just kind of happen?

He got out of her car and left her there alone for a few minutes. Then, suddenly, he came running back, sweating with sunglasses, a hat, a gun and $1,000 cash in hand, the woman said.

Ah jeez. The ole' 'finesse a girl on tinder so she can be my getaway driver' move. Old but gold. She was definitely just driving to lunch or wherever they were going and his drunk ass probably thought "I'm gonna rob the fuck out of that bank" and asked her to pull over so he could "take out some cash".

I can only imagine the look on this poor girl's face when this guy came sprinting out with cash flying everywhere.

Unreal move though for her to actually drive. Especially because she literally doesn't know this person. This is the fucking first time they've met and he's already asking her to risk her freedom for him. That's a bold strategy Cotton.

Castillo walked into the Bristol County Savings Bank branch in North Attleboro and showed a bank teller a gun. He demanded $1,000 and said he needed it badly — he was "really hurting," he told the teller.

Probably for the best that this relationship didn't work out. That is, of course, since he's "hurting" so bad he clearly needs some time to figure things out. Also, not to be that guy but if you're gonna do something serious like rob a bank - then rob a bank. Don't go in there and only take $1,000. You're risking your freedom for $1,000? No, you want more than that. Well, I suppose he can learn from his mistake and try it next time!

The teller handed him the money, then he ran back out to his date's Maxima and ordered her to step on it.

His accidental accomplice obeyed at first, but once she spotted flashing sirens from North Attleboro Police cruisers on their tail, she immediately pulled over and walked away from the car.

Castillo stayed inside and ducked from police.

Police pulled Castillo out of his hapless date's car as he "violently struggled," spit on them and told them his gun wasn't loaded, according to the district attorney's office.

At least this girl realized what she was doing was idiotic and she pulled over. I can't imagine going to jail at all, much less for being an accomplice to someone I don't even know. I wonder if she walks away from this whole thing Scott-free. I mean, it's not like she knew what was going on but I'm not too sure if just simply driving him to and from the scene does anything to her.

Just another reason to stop with all of this online dating. The next thing you know, you're speeding away from a bank because some asshole decided they were gonna take you along on a crime spree when you were just trying to get some froyo. It's fucked up and I won't stand for it.
