Man Stuffs 30 Phones Into His Biker Shorts At Sum 41 Concert, Somehow Gets Caught

Source

Dutch police got to the bottom of mobile phone thefts at a rock concert when they found a man with 30 mobiles in his cycling shorts.

The suspected pickpocket is a 34-year-old man, believed to be in a roving gang of thieves, police say.

He was stopped after rock fans alerted police, who then blocked the exits.

Extra police went to the Sum 41 concert in Amsterdam-Zuidoost after a tip-off from Belgian police. Fifty mobiles had been stolen at a Sum 41 gig in Antwerp.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit jealous of pickpockets. Obviously not the bad ones, but like the elite pickpocketers of the world. Sadly, I must've missed sleight of hand day at school because it was never my forte. Now I'm stuck here with notoriously slow fingers so being a pickpocket that lives in the shadows is out of the question.

This guy though, he seems to be pretty decent at it. Being able to just yoink thirty phones before getting caught is pretty damn impressive, honestly. And to wear elastic biker shorts to stuff them in was a pretty good idea. If you wear a backpack, people are gonna see you stuffing phones in there and become suspicious sooner. I would say that the only reason he got caught is because the police were tipped off. I say this because this same guy is almost definitely the guy who stole fifty phones at the other concert. A guy like that doesn't just get caught.

Who would even tip off the police? Someone who got their pockets picked? How would they know the man is a serial Sum 41 concertgoer who likes to steal a few phones? I have a feeling that was an inside job and that someone from his "roving gang of thieves" that didn't like him. Just a thought.

Also, is anyone else still shocked that Sum 41 is still playing in concert? They were a little before my time but I kind of thought they were the type of band that had a couple of good songs then disappeared. Again, they were before my time so I don't really know but it seems like a Sum 41 tour is a bit much.

Fatlip is still a banger though.
