Mark Cuban Declares The Number 24 Will Never Again Be Worn By Another Dallas Maverick

Whether or not this becomes a universal thing around the league, kudos to Mark Cuban for coming out and leading the charge. Obviously both his numbers are already retired by the Lakers, but I think it would be a fitting tribute given everything Kobe has done for the NBA and the game of basketball. What better way to celebrate the legend that he was then to raise his number in every arena in the league. Hopefully other owners see what Cuban did and make the same decision for their franchise. 

I'm sure if you were to ask today's players they would all be on board

so if the Mavs are the ones that get this ball rolling then great. At the end of the day it's an awesome decision and a fitting tribute to one of the best to ever do it who was taken far too soon.
