Dentist Convicted on 46 Counts for Pulling a Tooth While Riding a Hoverboard
CNN — A dentist in Anchorage, Alaska, has been convicted on dozens of charges after he wasfilmed extracting a patient's tooth as he stood on a hoverboard, according to the Alaska Department of Law.
Seth Lookhart was convicted on 46 felony and misdemeanor counts in Anchorage Superior Court on Friday by Judge Michael Wolverton, who called the evidence presented by the state during a five-week bench trial "overwhelming," the Department of Law said in a news release.
A lawsuit filed by the state in 2017 charged Lookhart with "unlawful dental acts," saying his patient care did not meet professional standards.
Finally some real justice being done in this country.
Stories like this are sometimes ridiculous and frivolous, but this is totally warranted. This asshole dentist is just rolling around on a hoverboard while sticking tools in people's mouths? Not in my America. Throw the book at him.
Also, it pleases me to know natural selection is still alive and well. How are you smart enough to graduate dental school but also stupid enough to film yourself doing something legitimately dangerous and illegal and send it to people? Maybe this guy wanted to be caught.
This finally gives me a legitimate excuse to avoid going to the dentist. I used to have to just say, "I don't want to," but now I have a legitimate case that there is a rampant group of rogue dentists going around ripping people's teeth out while balancing on 2013's hottest toy. Can't have that.
