The List Of People Being Inducted Into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame For 2020 Is Good. Very, Very Good

Source - This year’s inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were revealed Wednesday. They are Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G. and T-Rex.

To be eligible for the Hall of Fame an individual artist or band must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

Ballots were cast by an international voting body of more than 1,000 artists, including current living Inductees, historians and members of the music industry. Factors such as an artist’s musical influence, body of work, innovation, style and technique are taken into consideration with the voting, according to the organization.

The 35th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place in May in Cleveland, Ohio. The ceremony will be broadcast live on HBO on May 2nd at 8 p.m. ET.

I have to admit, I have a soft spot for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I used to work for this lady at the production company that put on the concert and she was the absolute best. Her name was Deborah. Maybe it was Gillian? I don’t know. The point is, I love this stuff and although everyone on that list deserves to be inducted, I wish they could’ve opened up a few more spots.

Here are the nominees who didn’t get in copy and pasted directly from the blog of Mr. Bob Foxx:

Pat Benatar, Dave Matthews Band, Motörhead, Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest (nominated for Class of 2018), Kraftwerk (nominated five previous times), MC5 (nominated four times before), Rufus featuring Chaka Khan (three previous noms) and Todd Rundgren (nominated for Class of 2019)

You may not have heard of MC5 and Kraftwerk, but I promise you if you YouTube them you’ll recognize their songs. I feel like DMB is a little young but other than that everyone should be in there. Even Todd Rundgren. Anyway, the ceremony is on May 2nd and it’s going to be wild. I heard they’re going to hologram BIG and Whitney for a duet. Who knows! Here are some of their hits to get you through the rest of the day.
