If You Hate The Patriots, Anthony Firkser (Manalapan, NJ native!) Is Your Hero Today

It's always awesome watching the Patriots lose in the playoffs. It's even better when the guy who beats them grew up in your town and went to high school with you. I present to you Anthony Firkser. I've blogged about him before when he made the Titans 53 man roster back in 2018. Ant's path to get here was not easy. The kid loved basketball growing up and was a monster on varsity at MHS (Manalapan High School). They pretty much had to convince him to give football a shot. Immediately he became a nightmare for defenses. He did everything. Firkser set school receiving records despite not playing until his Sophomore year. He went to Harvard only because they told him he could play basketball along with football. Football won out and he eventually went undrafted after his four years there. The Jets and Chiefs both cut him before he landed on the Titans practice squad. Now finally on the roster, he's become a pretty consistent part of their offense over the last 2 seasons. Firkser refuses to drop the ball. In his career he has one drop and it came against the Texans a few weeks back on a ball that ended up being intercepted.  I think he redeemed himself last night...

I mean that's so fucking cool. I watched that kid destroy people in high school and here he is beating the Patriots and possibly ending the dynasty. This catch on 3rd down pretty much iced the game for the Titans. 

Obviously Derrick Henry was an unstoppable force last night, but the two biggest catches of the night came from Firkser. If you hate the Patriots that man is your hero today. Anthony Firkser the Dynasty Killer has a nice ring to it.
