Kyle Shanahan Gave An Emotional Post Game Speech About CJ Beathard After The Killing Of His Brother

So for those that don’t know, the brother of CJ Beathard (former Iowa Hawkeyes quarterback and current 49er quarterback) was stabbed and killed outside a bar in Nashville early Saturday morning. Awful, awful stuff. Clayton Beathard was only 22 years old. So obviously it was going to be an emotional game for the 49ers on Saturday seeing that the brother of one of their teammates died so tragically so close to when they were gonna take the field. But as everybody knows now, the 49ers went out and got a walk off win against the Rams in dramatic fashion. Kyle Shanahan talked to the team after the game and said that the last thing CJ said to him was that he wanted them to win the football game. Pretty incredible stuff in an otherwise terrible situation.

George Kittle was on those Iowa teams with CJ and he also got emotional talking about it after yesterday’s win

Like I said before, just an awful awful situation for everyone involved. Our thoughts go out to the entire Beathard family.
