Spurs Fan Loudly Complains About James Harden, James Harden Responds Much Louder

I love when the courtside mics pick up fan heckles clear as day. Like if I was a blind person I would have assumed this was a personal conversation between Harden and some unnamed man that the telecast somehow got their hands on and decided to air. I also appreciate how Harden knows about the growing disdain for his style of play and the loopholes in the system he’s taken advantage of for years now. Because he had this comeback locked and loaded. Someone chirped him about free throws a week ago and it kept him up all night workshopping comebacks with the exotic dancers at King of Diamonds until they came up with this. Brilliant.

I love Harden, what he’s been able to sustain for YEARS while seemingly getting better every season is preposterous and should be celebrated. This dude might average 40 this year, that’s insane no matter how you want to slice it. You don’t have to enjoy watching it to admit it’s impressive.

…kind of like, ya know, the Spurs entire dynasty. The only knock against the Spurs was that their fundamental style of play, whipping the ball around, finding the open long two, and banking it home from the free throw line extended, ultimately winning their games 81-67, was boring as all hell. So Spurs fans chirping Harden for the way he’s decided to play professional basketball is nothing more than the Spider-Man meme come to life.
