So tonight at midnight Black Friday begins for Barstool Sports. The entire store is 20% off. For years now Stoolies have debated whether we actually make money on Black Friday. The simple answer is that we don’t. 20% is basically our margin when everything is said and done. So why do we do it? Why do put the entire store on sale? Simple. As a way to give thanks to our readers. To all the little Jimmy’s and Joe’s who make Barstool click. To all the little sluts in the Daddy Gang. To the PMT crowd. To the Chicklet boys and KFC’s hipster brand. To Riggs and the boondoggle boys and beyond. And of course to all my Team Portnoy guys. The original Brick by Brick guys. That’s why we do it. Because you can’t put a price tag on the smile all our wonderful Stoolies will have when come Christmas or Hanukkah comes and you open up your favorite barstool gift. That’s why we do it. It’s not about making money. It’s about making people smile. If that makes me a hero or a martyr I’m not sure. I guess I’ll let the history books decided that one.
