What the fuck is this? What is he apologizing for? Bregman carrying his bat to first place was fucking cool. So cool in fact it inspired Soto to do it right back to him.
That’s what baseball SHOULD BE. Obviously Bregman is apologizing because they lost the game, because you know he loved it and it pumped his team up. Soto doing it right back in his grill and Verlander knowing he can’t say shit about it was awesome too. That’s what makes baseball fun again. The best players doing awesome things on the biggest stage. Rendon going HAM, Strasburg dealing, Soto’s revenge. It was all awesome.
So I forgive Bregman for his apology. He said it because he felt pressured, not because he meant it. He would do that 100 times out of 100, every time.
