Oh I'm sure this was an 'accident.' And sure it led to a red card (second yellow), but this has to be the hottest new move for a goalie. You take this risk and force the ref to make the call. A guy cutting back with an open net, just reach your arm out and close fist punch in the nuts. A team scores late in the match and you try to punch the ball over the bar out of frustration? Wait for a guy to be running in front of you. 

I'll give the goalie credit. You do this during the same weekend where Steph does the same move. You don't nearly get talked about as much now because Steph is, well, Steph. 

Best part of this? It ended the match. Smart. You give up that late goal, all the momentum is away from you. Just punch a dude in the nuts and get the match called. Take the point and run home. Don't risk having another meltdown with a backup goalie now.
