This Postgame Show Caller is Why SEC Football Will Always Be the Best Sport in Existence

In Tennessee's 35-13 loss at No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, Vols starting quarterback Brian Maurer seemed to aggravate a concussion he suffered last week and was removed from the game. Former starter-turned-backup Jarrett Guarantano finished the game for the Vols to unimpressive reviews from fans, media and even his own head coach.

After the game went final, Fox Sports Knoxville hosted its Voluntary Reaction postgame show, as they do following every Vols game. One caller ended by telling the hosts that Jesus loves them and everyone listening. It was after that sentiment that the next caller took the opportunity to use Jesus's death as a weapon against Guarantano.

"I hate to follow that last guy talking about Jesus before, but Jesus didn't die on the cross for that dipshit to play quarterback for us."

WOW.

I love Tennessee football more than anything in this world and I've said some pretty wild stuff in the heat of the moment during games, but this may take the cake. Just absolutely incredible stuff from this guy. And this was an hour and a half into the show! This guy sat on the line for probably half an hour thinking of what to say and decided using the death of Christ against his team's backup quarterback was the way to go.

But this is why no sport will ever hold a candle to college football in the South. There is simply no other group of people that care as passionately — or as irresponsibly — as SEC football fans. It's a group unrivaled in fandom. Long may the Southeastern Conference reign.
