Ja Morant's swagger might save the Grizzlies

The defending champion Memphis Grizzlies* had their media day today along with the rest of the NBA. Ja Morant obviously took center stage showing off his admirable swagger, yet again. Everyone knew he had professional swagger the moment he showed up on draft night with a pocket square of himself.

Now today he’s rocking these shoes.

Ja is clearly making an early bid for first team all-drip.

Not enough people are talking about Ja Morant. I say this because Zion is constantly under the microscope, as he will be all year. He'll constantly be getting his dick sucked by the media for even the most routine basketball plays. That being said if he messes up or gets hurt, Ja will be the easy pick for ROY.

Admittedly as a Grizzlies fan, it’s hard. Not a lot of people pay attention to the boys from Beale Street, understandably so. Not a lot of people care about the city of Memphis nor their basketball team. When there are any relocation conversations regarding the NBA, the Grizz are one of the first names thrown into the fire.

Hopefully Ja Morant’s swagger and persona might be enough to give the Grizzlies a little bit of relevance. Pairing him, JJJ, and reigning summer league MVP Brandon Clarke, their ceiling is just as high as anyone in the NBA. I hope they're the answer and they are good enough to eventually bring playoff basketball back to the 901 and maybe keep the team in Memphis. Maybe they’ll actually be able to entice a free agent or two to come to the Grizz.

I know, wishful thinking. But in all seriousness it is an exciting time to be a Grizzlies fan. Hopefully we don't mess it up.

Sidenote- Ja Morant is an all time name and he will most definitely put the Grizz back into the relative spotlight, saving the team from looming relocation.
