The Joe Maddon Era Has Ended In Chicago

Carl will have more on this obviously, but I just wanted to toss a quick blog out there about the Cubs and Joe parting ways.

We knew it was coming, but that still doesn’t make it less weird. To think about what happened in 2016 and then to now come to the realization that only 3 seasons later we would separate from the guy who managed us to our first World Series in over 100 years is insane.

That’s the business though. Success breeds expectations and when disappointment happens it’s usually followed with something big.

I think every Cubs fan will say that they’ll miss Joe. Sure, they may not have loved some aspects of him, but at the end of the day he was the guy that got us a ring.
