Just taking a quick look over in China on the FIBA World Cup and yep, seems to be going as expected. The US has advanced to the quarterfinals and all hell has broken loose elsewhere.

I can’t imagine a more scary thing than a bunch of Lithuanians chanting ‘fuck you’. The Eastern Europeans are not to be trifled with and there is nothing I’d want to do to get on their bad side. You may ask, why are they so mad? Well it has to do with this play:

Of course FIBA is a mess! Anything with the ‘FI” to start like FIFA or FIBA is going to be corrupt and have a ton of problems. That’s what makes the World Cup so great. Everyone knows it’s a shitshow yet you tune in.

It’s good to know though that refs just suck internationally. We know they are terrible here in America and these are arguably the best refs in the world. It’s good to know that no matter where there’s hoop, there’s a shit ref.
