This Dallas Mavericks Court Idea Honoring Dirk Needs To Really Happen

Ok so my bullshit meter is pretty high, mostly because we already saw the list of leaked courts for next season

And this Dirk design wasn’t in there so chances are this is just Twitter doing Twitter shit. Having said that, after now seeing this, I think we can all agree that this 100% has to happen. If there’s one franchise that would ever consider something like this, it’s clearly the Mavs and Dirk. Plus the Dirk fadeaway is so iconic and a pretty sweet image it’s. perfect choice. I feel like if the Mavs truly don’t have this planned it is our job of the internet to make sure this somehow gets in front of Cuban.

We’ve seen players get statues, hell Cuban has already said he’s going to build a giant Dirk statue at some point, but nobody has a tribute on the actual court. That’s pretty badass but it should be reserved for people like Dirk or Duncan. You should have to have a minimum of 17 years with one team and have won a title in order to qualify for this type of thing. Imagine busting out this court on the night they raise Dirk’s number to the rafters? That seems like a no brainer.
