Arizona State Continues To Be The Mecca Of College Hockey Using Auston Matthews As Their New Recruiting Tool

Arizona State continues to be the mecca of college hockey, announcing today that the hockey team has teamed up with Toronto Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews for a collaboration for the release of the Sun Devils new gold jerseys.

The two are a match made in heaven. Auston Matthews is from Arizona but opted to play overseas and foregoing his NCAA eligibility and the Arizona State Sun Devils don’t have much of an NHL alumni program to help them recruit, so welcome in AM34.

I’m sure it’s against every rule in the NCAA handbook to actually use Matthews as a tool to help recruit players. But putting out sweet videos like this with him rocking some of the best sweaters in college puck sure as shit is going to help.
