Feel Swell Saturday: Mom Battling Leukemia Watches Her Son Score A Run In The LLWS While Being Interviewed On TV

I missed this video for Feel Good Friday, but I think we can make an exception and post it on Feel Swell Saturday.

I don’t care if you are a parent, are close with your mom, have ever dealt with a loved one battle a serious disease, or just like a feel good moment. As long as you have a soul inside your body, that video hit you in the feelings with an exit velo of a Pete Alonso laser beam. Because as a wise man that may or may not be a part of the Pick’em Show has said many times, some things are bigger than sports. And seeing a mom watch her son put his team ahead on the big stage of the Little League World Series he dreamed of playing on after hearing all she’s been through to witness that moment is the epitome of that phrase.

I usually root for the Mid-Atlantic squad since that’s the closest to the Casa de Clem’s Winterfell dwellings (not Canada, you wiseasses). But I think I have to root for Minnesota to go on a magical run through Williamsport and whoever the World brings to the finals after watching that video.
