The Clippers Did Kawhi Leonard Dirty With His New Team Bobblehead

It’s been a pretty perfect offseason for the Clippers so far when you look at what they were able to accomplish. They’re now flying high, Steve Ballmer is doing Steve Ballmer things, they’re dreaming of a new arena and perhaps even a new name. Vegas has them as favorites to win the NBA title, they’re the team to beat in LA for the first time maybe ever, and up until now they’ve done a great job at avoiding any potential L. That is until now. Look at this thing

That’s not Kawhi Leonard. That’s pretty much Ricky Davis or maybe you could talk me into former Clippers great Darius Miles with a little Latrell Sprewell mixed in. One thing I know for certain is it is not this guy

Los Angeles Clippers Introduce Kawhi Leonard & Paul George

Now I have to give the Clippers some credit, as bad as this bobblehead may be, it’s way better than what the Spurs did a few years ago

and while Paul George’s isn’t all that great either, at least it’s somewhat passable. Sure it looks a whole lot more like Kyrie but at least you could make the case after a few beers. It makes you wonder if the Clippers are so drunk off their offseason success that they actually have zero idea what these dudes even look like. Steve Ballmer just saw the names Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and signed off on everything while having no clue who they actually were. This certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen some horrific bobbleheads, in fact I blogged this very thing last September when the Sixers released this bad boy of Ben Simmons

That one still makes me laugh, not even fucking close. It’s pretty funny to me that in 2019, a time where we can 3D print basically anything your brain can come up with, these bobbleheads are still so far off. Not sure how we haven’t improved bobblehead technology at this point. To think someone in the LAC marketing department saw that bobblehead and was like “Yup! Nailed it!” is too perfect. I would say maybe this is just a publicity stunt to get people talking about the Clippers but we’re already talking about the Clippers nonstop so that can’t be it. They really thought they knocked this out of the park.

If you want to talk about a team that knocked their bobblehead out of the park, the only answer is the Dallas Mavericks and what they did for Dirk. To this day this will always be the GOAT bobblehead

But yeah, maybe the Clippers should go back to the drawing board and try again. Good job, good effort, but that shit stinks.
