I am clearly a simple man with simple pleasures. Nothing brightens my day more than a pull-through parking spot or a rogue onion ring finding its way into my french fries at Burger King (#ChickenFries). And you can definitely lump a well-placed Leroy Jenkins soundbite being remixed into a fighting clip onto that list as well. I don’t know if it’s because Leroy is a relic from a simpler time on the internet when grainy videos of bums fighting distracted cube dwellers from their daily grind and people laughed at comedians instead of becoming outraged at their jokes or that it’s just a hilarious video.

The internet has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But Leroy Jenkins has marked the time. This video, this blog: it’s a part of our past. It reminds us of all that once was good and that could be again.
