Steelers Fan Lands Season Tickets From JuJu Smith-Schuster After Getting Autograph Tattooed On Head

Yeesh. There’s nothing worse than bad head.

But I digress…

Steeler’s wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was the youngest player in the NFL when he started his career as a 2nd round pick in 2017, and I think it shows in a good way. He loves Fortnite, has his own YouTube channel, and maintains a contagious enthusiasm about the Steel City. In return, Pittsburgh fans seem to soak up that energy & give it right back. Case in point – training camp 2019, day 1…

From USA Today:

During Friday’s training camp, Steelers fan Joel Schock approached Smith-Schuster, who was signing autographs, and had an odd request. He wanted the Steelers wide receiver to sign the autograph on his head — a shaved mow-hawk that already had the Steelers logo tattooed.

Smith-Schuster suspected that Schock would get the autograph permanently tattooed on his head.

That was when Smith-Schuster added some extra incentive for this fan to follow through with the tattooed autograph. He promised him some Steelers tickets to the game of the fan’s choice. He said via wpxi.com:

“He might. If he does that’s lit. If he gets that tattoo on his head, I’ll give him any tickets to any game.”

Well, Schock went through with the tattoo, and it turned out that Smith-Schuster exceeded his initial offer.

He gave the fan season tickets.

At first it was just for tickets to *a* game, but I’m not surprised at all that Smith-Schuster stepped up to get Schock season tickets. From water balloon fights to prom in a velvet suit, he goes hard for his fans and seems to win them over easily (throwing money around doesn’t hurt).

Side note – as per usual I went down a rabbit hole on Schock, the man who got the tattoo, & he did not disappoint. It appears he has a pet pig & is a heavily tattooed handyman with a knack for installing tile work. The Steelers seem to take up a large chunk of real estate in his life.

Here in his Yinzer yard, Schock has a Glock, a bear in a bathtub (???), patriotic flower boxes, a Steelers van, and the American flag. There’s another video highlighting the van that shows no less than two “Calvin (from Calvin & Hobbs) pissing on words” bumper stickers, one of which saying “Ravens”. I couldn’t make out what the other was but am going to assume it says “Bengals” or “Browns”.

Little doubt he’s a true fan and though some said he’ll probably just grow his hair back out to cover the tattoo, I think he’ll keep it shaved through the season.

Speaking of, cc: Carson Wentz – If you sign my tramp stamp I will get your signature tattooed in return for season tickets. Will even keep back shaved through season.
