Wake Up With Garth Brooks At Joe's On Weed Street
I was lucky enough to be in attendance at Garth Brook’s 1st concert of his “Dive Bar Tour” last night at Joe’s On Weed St.
Now I’m not a huge country music connoisseur but I do think country concerts are the best concerts there are. Also, if you have the opportunity to see Garth Brooks in person, you take it. It was described to me as like seeing Babe Ruth play baseball. We’ve all sat in basements and on patios and jammed out to Friends in Low Places a million times in our lives and to see it sung by Garth himself 20 feet away with only a few 100 other people was an out of body experience.
I said it last night, I’ve been to a lot of good concerts. This concert was arguably the best concert I’ve ever been to. The other comparable concerts to last night were Van Halen with David Lee Roth at the UC and that’s about it for me. Not Pearl Jam, not Foo Fighters, not Billy Joel, not DMB. Garth Brooks was a MAGICIAN on stage and seemed like the coolest dude ever to boot. He immediately vaulted to the top of my list of people I need to drink a beer with.
If he’s coming to your city on this tour, do whatever you can to go. It was amazing in every way.
