The New Ghostbusters Movie Cast A Familiar Face

Carrie Coon is also in talks for the not-so-secret project along with “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard and “Gifted” star Mckenna Grace.

Jason Reitman, whose father Ivan Reitman directed the original “Ghostbusters,” will step into the director’s chair. He co-wrote the screenplay with Gil Kenan and plans to shoot the film later this summer. “Ghostbusters 2020” is expected to hit theaters in summer of next year.”

I’ll go ahead and say it, this is fantastic news. Before you all start yelling about how the last one sucked, let me beat you to the punch by saying I agree. It was a shitty movie for a number of reasons, none of which have to do with it being a female reboot. So if you’re here to bitch and moan, thank you for the click and goodbye. As for the actual news, this fucking rules. Carrie Coon and Finn Wolfhard are already an outstanding duo, so throwing in probably the most likeable actor in comedy is a A+++ move. There is no better way to gain instant interest and goodwill for the franchise after the last movie (except for maybe casting Dwayne Johnson). Hey can you gimme a printout of Oyster smiling?
