There's Something Inherently Funny About A Little Kid Singing About Doing Cocaine

(2:10 for mobile users)

Tell ya what – there’s just something inherently funny about a small child singing the lyric, “To fall in love and fall in debt // to alcohol and cigarettes // and Mary Jane // to keep me insane // doing someone else’s cocaine!”

This video isn’t new, or “resurfaced” by any stretch of the imagination, but I spent my weekend running through Green Day’s greatest live shows – Bullet In A Bible, Woodstock ’94, Awesome As Fuck, Reading 2013, Vh1 Storytellers 2005, etc. – and this clip somehow made its way into that rabbit hole and cracked me up. Billie Joe Armstrong is just pushing it as far as he could while he was holding the mic up to the little dude’s face, seeing if he’ll sing each lyric after the last, and fuckin’ hell, he does! Some losers may disagree, but I say that’s good parenting. Great parenting, even! I know I was singing about doing that blow when I was his age!

Seriously though, I love videos like this one. One of my favorite rabbit holes on the entire internet. Green Day has a fuck ton of ‘em, too! Check out some of my favorites below…
