Is It Acceptable To Say That An Avocado Is Your Favorite Fruit?

Before we even begin I would like to say that this is not an avocado hit piece. They’re good, they’re wildly popular, and are the base for one of the most well-liked dips on the planet.
This is also not a Whitesoxdave hit piece either. The man is riding high with this White Sox resurgence. He’s about to move into a new place. The mouse replies have cooled off significantly. Dave is doing well and I would honestly rather stab myself in the eye with a pencil than have another argument with him.
BUT, his answer threw me off to the point where I had to bring it up in a separate blog. Is it acceptable for someone to say that avocado’s are their favorite fruit?
Maybe it is and I’m just the doofus here. I’m just asking the question because to me it seems like you’re doing entirely too much if that’s your answer. Like there are so many fruits that you have to put above avocado if you had the chance to just choose one for the rest of your life.
Watermelon at a Summer BBQ is an unrivaled experience. The crunch you get from a supple Honeycrisp Apple is an unrivaled experience. I could go on and on.
So, you tell me…is an avocado an acceptable answer? Or is Dave trying to fit in with the foo-foo Wicker Park crowd too much now-a-days?
