Andre Iguodala sure loves Steph Curry. I mean it’s getting to the point where I’m confused as to what’s going on here. Last week he talked about wanting to be Steph’s security. Now he’s saying he only plays basketball because he’s protecting Steph’s legacy.

I know Iggy is being serious in the first quote, when he’s talking about nothing matters and motherfuckers replacing you. But, I can’t help but read that in Creed’s voice when he talks about Scuba.

He’s not wrong though. Dudes just get replaced. That’s how sports work, especially at the professional level. Teams have to make business decisions. The Sixers just traded Iguodala to the Nuggets after years of keeping them relevant after Iverson.

You could say he hurt Steph’s legacy though by winning the Finals MVP a few years back. Maybe if he let Steph get a Finals MVP finally he wouldn’t have to be protecting his legacy. Just something that makes you think.

Notice he doesn’t say Kevin Durant is the reason he plays basketball? Notice how he doesn’t even mention him. I’m taking that as a sure-fire sign that Durant is leaving. I mean he’s practically telling the world they hate Kevin Durant. Might as well just ship him to New York now.
