LeBron James Utterly Dominates 14-Year Old In Shooting Contest

Gabe Cupps is one of the best 14-year old basketball players in the country. Kid can hoop, plays on the same AAU team as Bronny James and, as you can see, Gabe wears #23 so that Bronny can blend in with all the rest of the kids and can’t be easily identified as LeBron’s son. Other than the fact that LeBron is standing directly next to the bench for the entirety of the game and Bronny is already replicating LeBron’s signature chase down block

he’s essentially a wallflower on that court just like every other kid.

But we’re not here to talk about Bronny. We’re here to talk about the ol’ fashioned whooping Bron put on Gabe Cupps in this shootout. This is the first and only time I’ve ever had Michael Jordan cross my mind while watching LeBron James on a basketball court. Because MJ would have dusted Cupps just the same. Granted, he would have taken it several unnecessary steps further, shattered the kid’s confidence permanently and put a cigar out in his eye, but the point remains LeBron took care of business like any great should.
