Sophie Turner Trashes Game Of Thrones Fans Who Signed The Petition Demanding Season 8 Be Remade
(Source)- In a New York Times interview published Monday, the Sansa Stark star addressed the disgruntled fans’ demands and called the petitions “disrespectful” to the writers and the crew. “So many people worked so, so hard on it,” she told the newspaper, “and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful.”
Still, the Queen of the North wasn’t surprised by fans’ reactions to the finale (warning: spoilers ahead). “People always have an idea in their heads of how they want a show to finish, and so when it doesn’t go their liking, they start to speak up about it and rebel,” she said earlier in her response. “The thing about Game of Thrones that’s always been amazing is the fact that there’s always been crazy twists and turns, right from season one with Ned’s beheading. So Daenerys becoming something of the Mad Queen—it shouldn’t be such a negative thing for fans. It’s a shock for sure, but I think it’s just because it hasn’t gone their way.”
I love this move so much because of how badly this has gotta fuck with the fans who signed the petition. Obviously anybody who signed that is an extremely diehard Thrones fan. They probably have Game Of Thrones PJs and bed sheets and posters of Sophie Turner on their wall. They listen to the Jonas Brothers and have their tickets to see Dark Phoenix. And now they know that Sophie Turner hates their fucking guts. Like, no two ways about it, she hates you as a person if you signed that petition. And I love knowing that they are probably devastated their queen hating them.
The problem with the losers who signed the petition is they were unable to separate the show sucking from the actors. All your hate needs to get directed towards Benioff and Weiss. Those guys fucked everything up with their decision to cram everything into 6 episodes and mail it in. All your hate should be directed at Double R, who didn’t give the TV writers the complete story to finish. Creating a silly petition that shits on all the actors and the crew and whatnot isn’t the right way to express your hate. It ain’t their fault this shit sucked.
I think it’s because I’ve had practice rooting for trash sports franchises. I know how to hate something you love. I know how to admit something you dedicate your life to has failed. You hate the owners and the front office. Not the players. I’ll forever love the Stark family and the Lannisters for those 8 seasons. The same way I’ll forever root for Jacob deGrom and Pete Alonso. But I’ll also forever curse the Wilpons and whatever puppet GM they install the same way I’ll never forgive Benioff and Weiss. Sure, occasionally there’s an individual player you want to Get The Fuck Off Your Team, the way I wanted Yara from the Iron Islands to Get The Fuck Off My Screen. But for the most part you root for the players on the field and the actors on the set while motherfucking the owners and the show runners who ruin the big picture.
PS – I would love to let Sophie Turner just BERATE me for my Game Of Thrones hate. She’s a cool chick so I know deep down she knows this stunk, but I’d love to just let her eviscerate me. Use words like rubbish and bollocks while insulting me and my intelligence.
