At Some Point Bellator Is Gonna Have To Find A Real Fighter To Match Up With Jack Swagger

So Jake Hager, formerly known as Jack Swagger in the WWE, has been trying his hand at mixed martial arts over in Bellator since his departure from professional wrestling a few years back. He’s 1-0, and looked great in his debut, but was against an absolute tomato can, so it was hard to get a gage of where he was at skill-wise.

Now, he’s got another fight booked for Bellator’s upcoming Chicago card, and they’ve found the shlub of all shlubs for him to square off against. Seriously, I mean…they just found the least intimidating looking human being alive (aside from myself, obviously). I’m not even sure he and Swagger are the same species. We clown the UFC for setting Greg Hardy up for success – and for good reason – but at least his opponents haven’t been chubby factory workers who’ve tried their hand at MMA exactly two times.

They’ve pretty much just made the whole thing a laughing stock, and for us, that’s great. I’m laughing a ton. I just don’t think that’s what they – or Swagger – would prefer.
