Things Are Only Getting Worse For The Ottawa Senators Now And Even The Simpsons Are Dunking On Them
There was a time when The Simpsons were king. It’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer, no doubt. But mother nature remains undefeated and just like anything else in life, there comes an end point. I don’t think I know a single soul who has watched a new episode of The Simpsons for at least 5 years, maybe more. So getting absolutely roasted by The Simpsons in like 1993-2007 meant that you made it. Obviously there’s still a bell curve in regards to the importance of The Simpsons from 1993-2007. But I figure it became dead for good after the movie was released.
The movie was over 10 years ago. The Simpsons have been on a pretty steady decline since then. So if you’re still getting dunked on by The Simpsons in 2019? Well that just means that you’re an easy target. And considering what an absolute fucking disaster the Ottawa Senators organization is, they are a top 5 easiest target in the world. And they don’t even have any fight left in them, which is the worst part.
It’s just sad at this point. No fight back at all? Just hiding behind a GIF? Have some respect for yourselves, boys. Sure the roster has been decimated, you finished last in the league and don’t draft until pick #19 this summer, and have been the laughing stock of the league for the past 500 days. But at least do something to try to defend yourself. Make a joke about the fact that The Simpsons haven’t been relevant since the last time you guys were in the Stanley Cup Final. Make a joke that you guys traded away more star players in the past year than the amount of people who still watch new episodes of The Simpsons. Do anything besides that GIF.
