Good News: They Caught The Dumpster-Fire Of A Woman Who Tossed 7 Newborn Puppies In A Coachella Trash Bin

There were a ton of great videos coming out of Coachella this past weekend… Ariana Grande surprised fans by bringing Justin Bieber on stage, Will Smith & son Jaden did a song together, Kanye’s Sunday Service was a hit (minus all that surprising God stuff)…

But there was another moment from that same area this past weekend that went viral for vastly different reasons & it’s gut-wrenching to watch. A woman rolls up behind the local Coachella NAPA Auto Parts store & tosses a plastic bag containing 7 three-day-old puppies in the dumpster with temps in the mid-90s.

Several times after seeing it I checked online to see if they caught the person because I couldn’t get the story out of my head. Thankfully they did & this video is much easier viewing:

Bye bitcc!

From CNN:

The woman who authorities say was caught on video tossing a bag of newborn puppies near a dumpster in Coachella, California, last week was arrested on Monday. Authorities have also now discovered dozens of dogs living in her home.

Police arrested Deborah Sue Culwell, 54, outside her Coachella home, according to Riverside County Animal Services spokesperson John Welsh. Culwell could face up to seven counts of felony animal cruelty, Welsh said.

Culwell was seen in the video leaving the seven newborn puppies in a plastic bag near a dumpster behind a NAPA Auto Parts store on Thursday afternoon, according to Riverside County Animal Services.

Riverside County Animal Services officers discovered 38 dogs living in Culwell’s home, which were “not in great condition” and not friendly, Welsh said.

Welsh said he didn’t know what breeds of dogs were at the home. The dogs have since been taken to the Coachella Valley Animal Campus.

38 other dogs in her home… What the hell is wrong with people??! And I hate to be that person but did no one else living around this dumpster-fire lady notice what was happening there?

As for the puppies themselves, the LA Times noted that they’re doing well & authorities are trying to re-unite the terrior-mixes with their mother.

Shout out to the good souls who took action to make sure they made it.

Here’s some pics from the no-kill shelter the pups are at if you’re in the area & want to check it out:
