Antetokounmpo does make summer modifications to accommodate for relaxation and family time. Still, when approached about starring in “Space Jam 2″ with LeBron James, Antetokounmpo declined. Being in the film would have required him to give up two weeks of private workouts to train with his fellow stars while making the movie, a total non-starter, given Antetokounmpo’s reclusive tendencies.
“I don’t like being Hollywood,” Antetokounmpo says. “I don’t like all this extra drama. I am just going to try to be me.”
Yup, that just about does it for me. Giannis is my favorite player in the league after telling LeBron to fuck off. Oh your career is spiraling downward out of control and you want to use me to boost your movie career? Oh and you want me to skip two weeks of workouts with my guys because no one wants to be in your stupid movie? Yeah get lost buddy. Some people still care about playing and winning actually.
I think a lot of superstars in sports say they don’t want the spotlight just to say it and act humble when they really don’t mean it. I genuinely think Giannis means it.

The guy just wants to be a monster on the court and get better and better. Ever since I watched that 60 minutes about him and his family I became enamored by everything Giannis. When he talked about living in poverty in a tiny apartment in Greece and dropped this line, my heart dropped.
“Yeah it was tough, we didn’t have a lot of money but we had a lot of happiness so we weren’t broke on happiness.”
The entire planet should love Giannis. I hope he runs train on the East in these playoffs and gets to the Finals. Milwaukee during the playoffs is an electric factory. I can’t get enough Giannis. I think I’d let my sister get kidnapped Taken style for him to be on the Knicks.
