LaVar Ball Says That LiAngelo Ball Is Much Better Than Zion Williamson And To Be Honest, He Makes Some Very Good Points

Okay, so out of all my blogs trying to defend something outlandish that LaVar Ball has said, trying to prove that a guy who went undrafted last year should be picked number 1 over all the players in this years draft, including one as hyped as Zion Williamson, is a tough sell. But is this the face of a man that would lie to you?

Hell no. All I hear about is how rings are all that matters when it comes to NBA players. It’s the reason Kevin Durant went to the Warriors, why Shaq ends every argument with Sir Charles on Inside The NBA by dunking on him with a ring count, and the hammer every MJ is the GOAT defender uses against LeBron Stans. Meanwhile, Zion got bounced out of the NCAA Tournament before the Final Four despite being on the most talented team and will leave Duke without ever winning a ring (Side note: Do they give college basketball players student athletes championship rings or do they just add a few bucks onto their meal cards?).

Now I will admit that I haven’t seen what LiAngelo looks like since he was winning JBA banners, while Zion is the definition of a manchild. Not Portnoy’s definition of a manchild either. But the real definition of a manchild. However, what if LiAngelo went the LaRon Landry route and has just been gaining mass like a savage in the gym? I know people will say that simply getting more muscular won’t help you on the court.

Nobody knew that someone like Steph Curry would completely change the game the way he did. But with the change in rules as well as style of play, Steph became a unanimous MVP. If the NBA adds a rule where you get 4 points if someone on your team can lift your opponent over your head and dunk them in the basket, Giant Gelo suddenly becomes the hottest asset on the market as well as the league. And finally, I have no choice but to blindly accept LaVar’s statement that Williamsons aren’t as strong as Ballers, simply because I don’t know anybody with the last name Williamson or anybody that calls everybody in their family a Baller. But by the way LaVar said it with such great aplomb, I have no choice but to accept it as fact. Certain families are just stronger than others. The Seinfelds are weak as fuck compared to the Mandelbaums and the Williamsons can’t hold a candle or a dumb bell to the Ball(er)s. That’s just genetics.
