Avicii's Family Announces Release Of New Album Called "Tim"
TMZ – Avicii’s taking a posthumous farewell lap … with a new album set to be released after the family decided it did NOT wanna keep his music locked away.
The late superstar DJ’s team announced Friday it will be releasing a new album this summer titled “TIM.” Avicii’s government name is Tim Bergling. The album’s set to drop on June 6, but fans won’t have to wait that long to get a taste of Avicii’s latest genius. The single “SOS” will be released on April 10.
Avicii’s team says the DJ was close to completing the new album before his tragic passing back in April 2018. The team says Avicii left behind a collection of nearly finished songs … along with notes, email conversations and text messages about the music.
Wow. What a great way to head into the weekend. It was announced today that Tim Bergling’s (Avicii) family will release 16 unheard songs under the album “Tim” to honor the DJ who passed away almost a full year ago on April 20th, 2018.
It’s funny, for the past few weeks I have been listening to “unreleased/unheard” Avicii music on youtube, once I heard the news about this album all those videos seem to have disappeared. Guessing his team had everything pulled in order to build the hype for the album.
The album is set to release in June but in just a few days we’ll get a preview of “Tim” when Avicii’s team drops the single “SOS”.
Not sure if this will be on the album, but if it is it’s an absolute BANGER.
I heard there was a bunch of unreleased stuff with Avicii and Chris Martin, who are about as electric a duo as they come. So my excitement level is through the roof right now.
Avicii is one of my favorite artists of all time and was taken from us FAR too soon, so I personally cannot wait for this album. The official soundtrack of Summer 2019.
