Duke Keeps Somehow Surviving On Missed Tips At The Buzzer

I mean at some point they have to lose, right? It’s getting ridiculous how many tips at the buzzer just don’t go in against these guys. Don’t get me wrong. Tre Jones played his ass off. Zion was Zion. RJ Barrett was a playmaker.

But, look at that. That was a wide open look. Hill just rushed it a bit. You couldn’t ask for a better look at this point. This is the second game in a row where Duke survived literally by inches. But, that’s the beauty of March. It happens all the time and this is how close it ends up being.

Again, you can’t argue with Duke. They are putting themselves in position to win these games. But, it’s amazing how close it’s been. Tre Jones was huge this game. We’ll get into Zion in his own blog because his highlights were ridiculous. But, Jones was left alone. Virginia Tech dared him to beat them. He did. He finished with 22 and was 5-for-7 from three.

Duke gets Michigan State on Sunday and I can’t wait to see what Izzo has drawn up.
