Stephen A. Smith Asked Jeff Passan About The Impact Mike Trout’s Deal Will Have On Mike Scioscia - Mike Scioscia No Longer Manages The Angels

I love Stephen A. I think like most of us. He’s one of the few good things ESPN has left in their company and it’s because of stuff like this. When do you think the last time he’s watched an Angels game that wasn’t against the Yankees? 2002 when they won the World Series? Probably. He probably thinks David Eckstein is still at short and won’t believe anything else you tell him.

Now the casual baseball fan might forget that Mike Scioscia called it quits on managing the Angels after 2018. Well, Stephen A. was interviewing the guy who broke the Mike Trout record breaking deal earlier today, Jeff Passan. You would think maybe he’d have a set of questions outlined pre-interview to hit on and maybe do an ounce of research. Nope. Not Stephen A. We can fast forward five years from now and he’ll still be asking about Scioscia. I was hoping when Passan told him he doesn’t manage anymore that Stephen A came back with a “yup, was just testing you!”

P.S. Scioscia is the single hardest name/word to spell in the world. It’s fucking impossible. What a ridiculous name.
