Mike Scott Is A Legend For Partying On St. Patrick's Day During A Live Game

Now this is how you celebrate St Patrick’s Day. Where normal people like you and me go out to the bars or to a friends house and get absolutely hammered, there’s people like Mike Scott who want to do those things yet also have to play an NBA basketball game. I have nothing but respect for Scott’s dedication to one of the best weekends of the year, and it’s not like this is a hugely important Eastern Conference matchup between two teams that may face each other in the playoffs and seeding that changes every other day. You know he’d rather be out enjoying the festivities of today and while I usually hate everything about this team I can’t help but love and respect this move. I can’t imagine the league is going to love it but Mike Scott doesn’t exactly strike me as a guy who gives a shit.

I say if you make an effort play in the stands like that you should be rewarded with a beer. Of all the plays that are beer deserving that has to be one of em. Think of how much harder guys would try if that were the case. Just something to think about in the offseason about a potential rule update.

All in all we can all agree that whether you’re a normal nobody like us or a professional athlete, everyone loves to party on St. Patricks Day, and this just proves it.
